Ix Style
A Step For A Change
Hearts of Guatemala is a social media campaign I am currently creating who's goal is to perpetuate Ix Style's core mission. I am doing so by sharing our Guatemalan Artisan's stories and spreading awareness of the water crisis in Lake Atitlan and worldwide.

Ix Style is a socially conscious business venture started by CEO, Francesca Kennedy. We sell huarache sandals, jewelry, and scarves crafted by artisans in Guatemala. 15% of our proceeds go toward creating clean water for Guatemalan villages.

Watch this video, made by Gap, where CEO, Francesca Kennedy explains Ix Style's mission and inspiration.
Hearts of Guatemala launched as an Instagram campaign on Giving Tuesday, in November of 2016. I have started by building the story, creating awareness of the Lake Atitlan water crisis and explaining the artisan's work. From here, I will launch personal artisan stories and how Ix Style has effected their life.
In the first week of its creation, @HeartsOfGuatemala gained traffic from 50% of its following and outside sources. This number continues to grow. It has also captured the eye of editors, garnering new press features for Ix Style.

Currently, I am working to build a blog page into the Ix Style website. This will house the Hearts of Guatemala artisan stories, a behind the scenes look at the artisan's workshop, and a deeper look at the Lake Atitlan water crisis.
